Michael Celso

Michael has had a passion for horses since he first started riding at the age of 9. Michael knows what it's like to work hard to achieve goals, buying his first horse at age 11 with money he earned doing barn chores for the late George Paterson (Paterson Stables). Michael has ridden & trained with some of the top professionals in the country such as Betsy (Hoppel) Perry, and Willie deLeyer. Michael has extensive experience training, riding, showing, and preparing sale horses for top trainers & their clients. Michael shares a special bond each horse he works with, listening to them first to understand their individual needs. The same goes for his lesson students and clients of all ages. Michael communicates well with children as well as adults, making their learning experience both fun and enjoyable. Michael has taught clinics up & down the East Coast. Most recently he ran a riding program in Las Vegas (Las Vegas Equestrian Center) from 2013-2016. He served as Vice Pres. of the Nevada Hunter/Jumper Assoc. from 2014-2016. Michael has returned to New York and we're thrilled to have him on board at Wild Briar Farm. He is available for lessons and training.
